David Johnson's responsibilities to the DreamLife project include creating
the narrative, video production and editing, 3D modeling, interactive scripting,
and setting up the multiuser server. He is currently a Systems Analyst with StarSight
Telecast (a division of Gemstar Development Corporation), serving as the lead
designer of user interfaces for StarSight's on-screen interactive television program
guides, where he uses multimedia modeling tools to prototype his designs. He holds
a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature with a minor in creative writing from
San Jose State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and with departmental honors.
He brings his experience with user-interface design, multimedia scripting, and
creative writing to the thesis project group.
