Marilenis Olivera holds a Master's and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. She has worked as a programmer of Interactive-Multimedia applications and as a Professor of Computer Graphics and User Interface Design. In 1996, she joined the Multimedia Laboratory at University Simon Bolivar in Caracas-Venezuela. There she began to explore the relationship between art and technology, through her work on virtual museums. As a member of the DreamLife project she will continue to explore this relationship to create an art installation that breaks the boundaries between art and technology. Her responsibilities include, designing the user interaction with the environment, installation design, microcontrollers design and programming and creating environmental imagery and animations.
