Professional Experience

• Consultant to the National Identification Bureau on imaging technology (1995).
• Technical project manager (part time) at Ars Innovandi (a software house), 1989-1992, under an industry-university software research project funded by Fundación Andes (see previous section). The software produced, SearchCity, a text retrieval product for Windows, won the 1992 PC Magazine prize to the best chilean software of 1992.
• Consultant for the Informatization Project of the National Congress (1991-92).
• Consultant of IOM (International Organization for Migrations, UN) for the analysis of the Information System of the Chilean National Congress (1990).
• Technical assesor for a mid-range computer equipment survey in Chile conducted by Langton-Clarke (1990).
• Design assesor in several software development projects and commercial systems in several topics as object orientation, imaging systems, text databases, etc.
• Vacation practices at Xerox Chile and NCR Chile.
